Kobe Bryant 44 points vs Spurs 2002-03(40 point streak)
The 4th game of the famous 40+ point streak in the 2002-03 season. Kobe was on fire, scoring 7 straight 35+ point games and scoring 3 straight 40+ point games. But his next game would be a real challenge for his team and his streak. The Spurs won 7 straight games, all which were road games. Also they had arguably the best defensive player in the league, Bruce Bowen. All of that didn't matter to Kobe. Riding the hot streak, he came out the first quarter with a vengaence. He made 5 of his first 8 helping LA to a 22-21 lead. Then, he exploded in the 2nd quarter. He started the quarter with a fadeaway, then went on to make 5 straight jumpshots against the championship defense of the San Antonio Spurs. He went on to score 24 first half points, showing his greatness and abilities at the age of 24. Then the defense started to tighten up on him and the Spurs sent doubles on Kobe every time he got the ball. Lethargic play by the LA Lakers led to the game slipping away and the Spurs held a commanding 11 point lead with a minute to go. Despite the game being a longshot away from a victory, Bryant earned his 42nd point with a three over the Spurs with 54 seconds to go, then hit another jumpshot to bring his total to 44. However, LA had a very disappointing loss against the Spurs led by Tim Duncan who put up 28 points and 20 rebounds. Kobe Bryant's statline for the game was 44 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks on 19-41 shooting. Other notes: Kobe's 1st quarter highlights are missing The actual video's length is 5:49, I couldn't take out the remaining 3 minutes for some reason.

posted 4 entertainment:Danny C.'S adaptations, K.C.-based entertainer performances, street portion of his overall performing venues: Here we mostly have footage from performances in early days after transition from mostly Westport to mostly Plaza area; then some footage from Dan's fave street trio in 2003. Note the complex conversion of recognizable song parts to guitar by Danny on adaptations like When..64, and the tight three part harmony of Danny with Gary Ammons and Bev Mendus. Also note the Flamenco guitar adaption of Led tune, played by Danny. On the C. King tune adaption, Danny is on keys and harmony, ex-partner Bev:lead vocal, and Gary guitar-one of Danny's personal faves the trio worked out together, and which accented the talent of all. Note the use of kazoo and harmonica, not to mention guitar and solid singing on Sege; Neil; Johnny sings Bruce; and Bruce adaptations in footage in the first set of excerpts here.
